2026 Releases

1.2.7

  • No Google sign-in needed: New users no longer sign in to TagTube with Google. TagTube asks for access to youtube.com instead, and reads your subscriptions while you are signed in to YouTube in this browser.
  • For new users, TagTube reads your subscription list from your own YouTube subscriptions page, in your browser. To load or refresh it, TagTube opens that page in a new tab, reads it, and closes the tab when it is done. Your tags are kept on your computer.
  • Already signed in with Google? TagTube still uses your Google account and saves your tags online, as before. If TagTube loses access to that account, it now switches to keeping your tags on your computer, instead of asking you to sign in again. To switch yourself, choose Disconnect account in the menu. Your tags stay on your computer and nothing is deleted. You cannot undo this.
  • The video feed can now show only Shorts, only regular Videos, or All. TagTube remembers your choice.

  • Custom Video Feed: Each tag now shows recent videos uploaded from the channels in the tag. Your organized channels now gives you a custom video feed fully personalized to your interests.
  • You will be notified when TagTube notices you have new subscriptions to be tagged.
  • We've added support for the Opera browser, so you can enjoy better YouTube with TagTube on Opera.
  • You can now sort the All and Untagged tags by latest upload, just like your own tags.
  • TagTube now asks for access to youtube.com when a feature needs it, such as the video feed, instead of when you install it.

  • The tags section now automatically switches to a Recent Tags view once you have 10+ tags, keeping your most-used ones upfront and the rest just a click away under the ⋯ menu. Your panel stays tidy and easy to browse.
